About Us

We are Nina and Lisa. We love moving and we both have short names, so sometimes people get us confused. That’s okay, you can also call us Lina.

Portrait of Nina Monjean, certified body expression teacher

Hi, I’m Nina – I’ve been solo dancing since I was six, and partner dancing for the last 15 years. Forró and fusion are where I feel most at home, but I am also fascinated by the depth and technique of tango, and I love blues dancing for its soulful music. I’m drawn to movement that’s intentional and unpretentious. As a certified Dalcroze teacher for body expression, I bring a musical, body-aware approach to my classes. I prepare them with a lot of care and am known for reading the room, and offering thoughtful feedback. Fun fact: I once won an award for never sitting still – some things never change!

Portrait of Lisa Huylebroeck, dance therapist

Hi, I’m Lisa – a lifelong mover with a heart for musicals and a great passion for partner dances, like Tango, Zouk, Fusion and Forró. Armed with a dance therapy degree from Artevelde Hogeschool and a yoga certification, I concoct a potent potion of mindfulness and expressive movement. With great care, I create calm and safe spaces for people to restore and explore. By showing up authentically, I inspire participants to rediscover the playful, creative side of movement and dance. Fun fact: I adore cats and their delightfully graceful (and sometimes hilariously clumsy) ways!

More about us

After a couple of years behind a desk, we both decided to pursue additional studies in movement and dance. Since then, we have brought the wonders of dance, movement and body awareness to many different groups of people.

In 2023 we founded Into the Body vzw, an association whose mission it is to promote physical and mental well-being and empowerment through working directly with the intelligence of the body. Our movement-centred approach places the self-development and learning-by-doing of our participants at the heart of our sessions.

Together we facilitate:

    • In 5 different languages (EN, FR, NL, DE, ES)
    • To various groups of people ranging from children, teenagers, adults and dancers to Parkinson patients, individuals with a psycho-social vulnerability and (dependent) elderly people.

Respect and Listen to Your Body

We advocate for a deep respect and active listening to the body. When we honour our body’s signals and needs, it becomes a powerful ally in achieving our goals.

    Embrace the Joy of Movement

We believe that human beings are inherently designed to move. It is not just a biological necessity, but also a fundamental resource for feeling more balanced and experiencing joy.

    Prevention through Movement

We believe in the proactive role of movement in preventing physical and mental health issues.
